FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Ganoderma (also known as Reishi or lingzhi) is a type of mushroom, which has a multitude of healing properties for the human body. More information about what ganoderma is, you can read in detail on this page.

No. Ganoderma is a medicinal mushroom. It is also one of the 300 adaptogenic herbs that exist in nature. This means that it adjusts its healing properties according to the body’s needs.

No. In all clinical studies as well as in the international literature, no side effects have been recorded in the consumption of ganoderma.
However, in rare cases within the first 3-4 weeks of consumption some symptoms such as mild digestive disorders may appear.
These should not be misinterpreted as side effects or an allergy to ganoderma, but should be understood as a normal reaction of the body to the rapid elimination of the accumulated toxins present in our body.
The symptoms will subside after a few days and as long as the treatment with ganoderma is continued.

No. Ganoderma has no side effects no matter how long it is consumed. In fact, the longer one takes ganoderma, the better because it has multiple benefits for the body.

After taking it, its active ingredients react with the body. These reactions are summarized in five stages:

Tracking (1-30 days)
Detoxification (1-30 weeks)
Setup (1-12 months)
Reconstruction (6-24 months)
Rejuvenation (1-3 years)

More details on how ganoderma works and its benefits can be found on our Ganoderma page.

Yes. Ganoderma does not interact with other drugs and helps the effectiveness of each medication since Ganoderma dramatically improves blood circulation throughout the body. Also, taking ganoderma at the same time as certain medications reduces the possible unwanted side effects that these have.
It is recommended to avoid consuming ganoderma in bulk when:
  • the person undergoes an organ transplant and consumes immunosuppressive drugs.
  • the person is going to have surgery and at the same time is taking an anticoagulant drug such as montelukast, simvastatin or another. In this case, it is recommended to abstain from ganoderma for a period of 7 days before surgery. (Intraoperative Bleeding Associated with Preoperative Use ofGanoderma lucidum Supplements)
Ganoderma is good to take on an empty stomach. An empty stomach will help to better absorb the active ingredients contained in ganoderma.
It is also good to drink a lot of water which will help eliminate the toxins that have accumulated in the body.

First of all, let’s make it clear that there is no qualitative difference between Ganoderma in capsules or Ganoderma in powder from the company DXN.

But there are some mainly practical reasons that we suggest you choose the capsules over the powder which we list below:
the taste of ganoderma is a little bit bitter. With the powder it is difficult to adhere to the correct daily dosage, as it is measured in milligrammes. With the powder you should always have the doser with you
the capsules are practical since they are consumed immediately, wherever you are. The capsules have a predetermined dosage, the capsules, because of the casing they have, do not let the ganoderma come into contact with the mouth and thus one does not taste its bitter taste.
Some who started taking ganoderma powder after a while chose to continue with capsules.
If you want to match the dosage form of the powder you are taking now with the equivalent in capsules, consult the table below:

No. As with all products, with ganoderma, one can find it in various qualities and of course prices. One of the lowest grades is found in bulk ganoderma, while the best ganoderma is what you will find in DXN products.

The factors that determine the quality, purity and effectiveness of Ganoderma are:

the ripening time
the growing conditions of the mushroom
the processing method
the sub-species of ganoderma mushroom used
So in bulk ganoderma one cannot know if the mushrooms have been harvested exactly on the ninetieth day when the ganoderma is ripe and has the highest concentration of nutrients.

Also, because mushrooms absorb like sponges the substances of the environment in which they grow, this must be checked, certified and the cultivation must be organic. With bulk ganoderma it is not possible to ensure the above.

You should also keep in mind that ganoderma if it is not properly processed and ground as it is, it does not have the same high nutritional value. To achieve the highest possible element concentrations all low value parts of the mushroom should be discarded before milling, which is not the case with bulk ganoderma.

Typically, 20 grams of DXN Ganoderma corresponds to 400 grams of bulk Ganoderma or 80 grams of ground & dried Ganoderma.

Finally, bulk ganoderma because it does not have the required purity and quality after 3 months consumption can create unwanted side effects.

in conclusion.. Bulk ganoderma cannot be compared to DXN’s certified, 100% organic ganoderma, which has three ISO certifications that ensure the top quality of its products.

90-day ganoderma (Reishi Gano) and mycelium (the main part of the mushroom) from 14-day ganoderma (Ganocelium) although they both come from the ganoderma mushroom, they have a very important difference. The mycelium has 4 times more polysaccharides and organic germanium content than 90-day mature ganoderma.

Taking mature ganoderma and mycelium at the same time ensures that the body will absorb all the beneficial elements that ganoderma offers in their maximum quantities.
